Stronger Communities Build A Stronger Marketplace

When businesses partner with local schools, the result is a better trained workforce, more informed consumers, and a stronger local economy!

Job exposure such as virtual tours, guest speakers, career fairs and mentorship can give students an opportunity to learn more about a specific career or industry as they discover what opportunities are available in their community.

Externships are generally considered job shadowing and can provide students an opportunity to observe, explore and ask questions. These can range from 1 day to an 8-10 week long commitment.

Students serving as interns will be given meaningful projects, be assigned responsibilities, and work deadlines and expectations, very similar to what they would expect as a full-time employee. These generally require a   3-6 month commitment.

Studies show that students who work are more confident and possess better time-management skills than students who are not employed. A part-time job can provide both training and experience following graduation.
